Project Management Consultant-Level 2 - Experienced (6 - 10 Years)
This position assists in the overall management of assigned projects to ensure compliance with budgetary, scheduling, and safety goals. The role involves supporting construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site. This office-based role supports projects in the construction and renewables industry and may incorporate travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess productivity, monitor schedule compliance, evaluate work quality, and ensure safety performance on assigned projects.
- Participate in walk-downs of planned work, validate acceptance of completed work to design requirements, and review contractor payment requests.
- Verify constructability, ensure proper resource allocation, assess field status, and resolve issues as needed.
- Coordinate project activities with vendors, suppliers, regulatory agencies, and local community officials.
- Assist in scope control, budget oversight, resolution of technical issues, performance reporting, and scheduling.
- Interface with landowners, local regulators, and state agencies.
- Reinforce expectations related to safety, procedure compliance, and appropriate work behaviors for employees and contractor staff.
- Coordinate activities for groups such as safety programs, engineering, construction, budget, analytics, and contract administration.
- Analyze key performance metrics, financial data, and operational trends to support strategic decision-making.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Land Surveying, or a related field is required. 6 - 10 years of experience managing project execution, including vendor and contractor coordination. Experience in the construction or renewables industry is needed. Experience using project management software such as Microsoft Project or Smartsheet.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience interfacing with a wide variety of stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
Work Environment
Driving will be required as part of this position's duties. Travel to project sites may be required up to 25%.
