Job Description:
- Seeking a Systems Engineer for utility-scale BESS plants.
- Employees in this role have the responsibility of developing requirements-related processes and creating control systems requirements and for utility-scale energy storage projects.
- The Control Systems engineer will be able to develop controls logic, implement complex programs, create protocols for site verification, testing, troubleshooting, and certifying all control system project requirements are met.
- Work with equipment suppliers to perform factory integration testing of new hardware designs to validate requirements.
- Develop processes for managing common and project-specific control system requirements across a large fleet of power plants.
- Oversee development and implementation of all control system project requirements.
- Support commissioning team during plant turnover.
- Work with cross functional teams and support as plant controls SME for both internal and external customers.
- 5+ years SCADA/Controls engineering experience
- A subject matter expert in the Power Generation industry, with established expertise in power plant controls and renewable energy.
- Ability to manage deliverables from domestic and foreign suppliers.
- Experience developing and verifying software requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines by setting priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Engineering degree or technical degree in a related technical area.
