About the role:
We're looking for an Electrical Engineer on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment (W-2). You will provide high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management. Work with customer leadership to guide engineering strategies, solve complex challenges, and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience. You would have an advanced experience in system integration, and risk management, ensuring project success from conception through execution.

Remote with trips to Juno Beach, FL 33408
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiate technical and regulatory requirements, and influence executive-level project decisions.
- Leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and optimize technical designs for energy infrastructure.
- Acts as the technical authority on engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field.
- 11+ years of experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms.
- Experience of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols.
- Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development.
- Experience with power systems and utility-scale energy project.
- Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or power generation projects.
- Knowledge of BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies.
- Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards.
- Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols.
- Full accountability for PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion.
- Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support.
- NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $65.00/hr. to $70.00/hr.
