Commissioning Manager-Level 4 - Lead (15+ Years)

This position provides senior-level commissioning leadership and technical oversight for complex, utility-scale energy projects. The role involves acting as the Owner's representative from mechanical completion through energization, startup, performance testing, and final turnover. The Commissioning Manager will lead the execution of commissioning strategies across multiple systems, interface with various stakeholders, and ensure full compliance with safety, design, and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution of commissioning strategies and sequencing across multiple systems or project scopes.
• Interface directly with EPC leadership, OEMs, utilities, ISOs, and third-party vendors.
• Drive resolution of complex technical, controls, and grid-interconnection issues.
• Oversee commissioning execution, supporting and validating PPA and GIA/LGIA testing.
• Guide system walkdowns and manage the resolution of deficiencies.
• Review and execute commissioning procedures and schedules.
• Validate test results and turnover documentation.
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting support in coordination with engineering and operations teams.

Required Qualifications

Experience:

This role requires extensive experience with utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, SCADA integration, and grid compliance testing. A valid, non-restricted current driver's license is required, with no alcohol/drug-related driving offenses within the previous five years and no current license suspension or restriction.

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.

Work Environment

The position is project-based and requires the ability to support travel to various sites, off-hours testing, and demanding commissioning schedules. Per Diem and Mob/De-Mob expenses will be available for this assignment.
