Electrical Supervisor
This position is for an Electrical Supervisor responsible for coordinating and managing construction work performed by contractors and vendors at the project site. The role involves assessing productivity, schedule compliance, work quality, and safety performance. The Electrical Supervisor acts as a critical bridge between field operations and leadership, ensuring construction crews and project stakeholders remain aligned.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand all drawings, contract documents, and quality documentation.
- Verify that all drawings, submittals, and specifications are accurate.
- Work collaboratively with the EPC, sub-contractors, and operations teams.
- Report daily, weekly, and monthly on progress, quality control, and safety.
- Use Unifier to record, name, and upload electrical installation QC photographs.
- Facilitate the Request for Information (RFI) process with the EPC and site engineering.
- Perform inspections of equipment being installed to verify it is done correctly and per the scope of work.
- Review project completion documentation and help facilitate field commissioning and turnover.
- Interface with the project's designated safety, engineering, and quality control parties.
- Ensure that safety is the number one priority on all sites and follow all company rules and policies.
- Provide leadership and coaching to Construction Supervisors and the supplemental workforce.
- Oversee system testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance.
Required Qualifications
Education:
An Associate degree or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Power Generation, or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Experience:
6 to 10 years of experience in power plant commissioning, working with EPC Contractors, engineering firms, and equipment suppliers is required.
Technical
Skills:
An understanding of SCADA, fiber optics, and electrical and fiber testing (e.g., TTR, VLF, ODTR, Fall of Potential, VOCs) is necessary. Proficiency with Word is also required.
Work Environment
Driving will be required as part of this position's duties. For positions with driving requirements, validation of a non-restricted current driver's license is necessary. Per Diem and Mob/De-Mob expense types will be available for this role.
