Lead Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Engineer with extensive experience to perform engineering assignments ranging from limited scope to advanced projects requiring expertise in multiple disciplines. This role involves increasing independence, project management, and leadership. The successful candidate will work as an extension of the engineering team, focusing on utility-scale solar, BESS, and power plant operations while ensuring designs meet project specifications, safety standards, and long-term performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, influencing executive-level decisions.
• Plan, organize, and manage engineering projects, ensuring regulatory compliance and performance tracking.
• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams and act as the technical authority on standards, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Negotiate technical and regulatory requirements with stakeholders.
• Engage in decision-making, technical analysis, project coordination, and engineering oversight.
• Provide high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management.
• Guide engineering strategies, solve complex challenges, and ensure long-term infrastructure resilience.
• Ensure project success from conception through execution with a focus on system integration and risk management.

Required Qualifications

Education:

A Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.

Experience:

15+ years of experience in planning, designing, and executing large-scale energy projects, including solar, BESS, wind, and hydrogen systems. A valid driver's license is also required.

Technical

Skills:

Proficiency with engineering tools such as ETAP or EDISON is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Professional Engineering (PE) certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience in specialized engineering functions such as Electrical/I&C, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, or MOV Valve engineering.
