This role is responsible for coordinating with various NEER groups to ensure the successful execution of assigned substation projects while representing E&C's internal and external interests throughout the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include providing project updates, addressing issues, and presenting risk mitigation strategies to stakeholders and management at multiple levels. The position also supports Transmission Services during the review of interconnection documentation, including system impact studies, facility studies, reactive and harmonic studies, and interconnection agreements, ensuring Transmission Owner requirements, E&C engineering standards, and ISO compliance are fully incorporated into project designs.
Regular communication with transmission owners, operators, and ISOs is required to ensure project deliverables meet off-taker requirements and are delivered accurately and on schedule. Additionally, the role manages long-lead material procurement to minimize schedule delays and budget impacts, while partnering with ISC to develop scopes of work, review and approve procurement documents, and facilitate the timely processing of engineering service and material purchases.
The individual will also oversee the development of substation design packages through all phases of engineering, including 10%, 30%, 60%, 90%, and Issued for Construction (IFC) drawing sets, coordinating closely with Engineers of Record (EORs) to ensure quality, accuracy, and constructability of physical, electrical, and civil design documents. The role pays $50-65/hour.
