Next Era's Engineering & Construction Business Unit is excited to welcome a seasoned Principal Engineer to our Substation Engineering team. Located in the beautiful Juno Beach, Florida, this role offers a unique opportunity to lead and manage internal substation projects from inception through completion, ensuring they meet our high standards for quality and efficiency.

As a Principal Engineer, you will:

• Lead the development of substation projects from the conceptual phase through construction and commissioning.
• Collaborate with project managers and development groups to define and support engineering requirements and scope.
• Plan and coordinate large-scale projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
• Manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes using formal processes and tools.
• Provide technical oversight and ensure compliance with industry standards and project specifications.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to secure project sites and necessary permits.
• Support project commissioning activities to meet corporate objectives.
• Stay updated on industry advancements and integrate innovative solutions into project designs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 10 years' experience in substation design and engineering of High Voltage substation projects.
• Project Engineering and/or Project Management experience.
• Willingness to travel within North America.
• Valid non-restricted driver's license with a clean driving record.

Preferences:

• Master of Science or MBA Degree.
• PMP and/or P.E. certification.
