Position Overview

Certuity Multi-Family Office is seeking a Senior Director of Portfolio Management to support investment strategy, portfolio implementation, and client portfolio oversight for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth families. This role works closely with the advisor and clients to ensure portfolios are aligned with each client’s goals, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, tax considerations, and individual priorities.

The Senior Director of Portfolio Management will bring experience across multiple market cycles, strong technical investment judgment, and the ability to translate complex market and portfolio concepts into clear, client-ready guidance. This role will also support advisor-led business development by contributing investment expertise, portfolio perspective, and market credibility in prospective client conversations.

Portfolio Strategy and Implementation

  • Develop strategic asset allocation guidelines based on client objectives, risk tolerance, liquidity needs, and constraints
  • Implement investment strategy across client portfolios in alignment with approved guidance
  • Monitor portfolio positioning and recommend adjustments as client needs or market conditions evolve
  • Execute portfolio trades and implement investment strategies across client portfolios

Client and Advisor Support

  • Participate in client portfolio review meetings on a quarterly basis
  • Support day-to-day investment inquiries from UHNW clients
  • Communicate market views, portfolio positioning, performance, and recommended changes
  • Support advisor-led business development with investment expertise, portfolio perspective, and client-ready guidance
  • Working knowledge of tax and estate planning concepts as they relate to managing UHNW client portfolios and trusts

Investment Research and Evaluation

  • Collaborate with the investment team on tactical guidance informed by market, macroeconomic, and fundamental research
  • Evaluate investment strategies based on client objectives, preferences, constraints, and tax considerations
  • Ability to evaluate and clearly explain alternative investments and direct private investment opportunities across multiple asset classes

Leadership and Firm Contribution

  • Serve as a senior investment voice internally and externally
  • Mentor and develop investment associates on the advisor's team
  • Help ensure consistency and clarity in Certuity’s investment narrative
  • Promote continuous improvement in the delivery of portfolio management services

Ideal Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned portfolio management professional with deep experience supporting UHNW clients across investment strategy, portfolio construction, and client portfolio implementation.

The successful candidate will bring strong investment judgment, experience across multiple market cycles, client-facing communication skills, and the ability to support advisors in both existing client relationships and prospective business development opportunities.

Preferred Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in portfolio management, wealth management, private banking, RIA, family office
  • Experience supporting UHNW, or multi-generational family relationships
  • Deep knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk management, alternative investments, and tax-aware implementation
  • Experience developing and implementing client-specific investment strategies
  • Ability to communicate market views and portfolio recommendations clearly to clients and advisors
  • Relevant credentials such as CFA, CIMA®, CAIA or equivalent experience preferred
