UX Product Owner Position Overview
The UX Product Owner is responsible for organizing digital experience project requirements, design deliverables, reviews and approvals, and handoff to IT in addition to serving as a critical member of agile development teams. As the UX Product Owner you’ll be responsible for signing of on front end user stories, participating in daily stand ups and backlog grooming sessions, UAT signoff and production release sign off.
This is an exciting opportunity for a detailed oriented and organized candidate to learn and grow in UX and large, technical project management skills while contributing to the creation of exciting experiences for internal and external users. Successful candidates will be adept at building partnerships and will be curious and willing to roll up their sleeves to truly understand the problems we are tasked with solving.
This is a strategic role that requires individuals with a drive to do more than check the box.
- Requirements gathering:
Work with business stakeholders and IT partners to understand scope of deliverables, requirements, process, existing application screenshots, timelines and other details. - Coordinate timelines:
Set up internal and stakeholder design reviews, working back with attendees to navigate busy calendars against tight deliverable timelines. - Attend stand ups and daily sessions:
Participate in daily stand ups to manage deliverables against expectations, attend backlog grooming sessions to understand focus and needs, and coordinate / listen in on technical collaboration and solutioning sessions to understand feasibility of design solutions and pivot where necessary. - Documentation:
Update project trackers with current statuses, add deliverables and other documents like proposal decks and demo decks, provide signoffs in Jira and enter defects during UAT.
- Bachelors Degree
- Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience managing cross functional and collaborative projects
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment
- Strong communications and interpersonal skills
- Agile or UX certifications a plus
