OverviewThe Business Process Analyst is responsible for monitoring, improving, and maintaining the health of business processes across DSS Inc., with primary responsibility for the processes that govern the software development lifecycle. This role ensures that SDLC processes, and the broader operational processes that connect to them, are well‑defined, consistently followed, current, and performing effectively. The analyst applies DMAIC methodology and Six Sigma principles to drive structured, data‑informed process improvement, working autonomously and escalating issues with sound judgment.
Work product is high‑visibility and cross‑functional, engaging at the VP and C‑suite level.
This is a hybrid opportunity and must be able to come to the North Palm Beach, Florida office 3 days a week.

- Monitor the health and performance of assigned processes on an ongoing basis, acting as the accountable steward of process effectiveness.
- Define, track, and report on KPIs for assigned processes, providing regular performance updates.
- Analyze performance trends to identify early indicators of degradation, inefficiency, or risk and proactively initiate corrective action.
- Ensure assigned processes remain current and accurately documented.
- Facilitate conversations with senior leadership to prioritize process improvement work.
- Provide monthly progress reports to senior leadership.
- Lead process improvement efforts using DMAIC methodology from problem identification through implementation and sustainment.
- Actively listen to and investigate problems raised by stakeholders, translating them into clearly defined improvement opportunities.
- Develop well‑reasoned, data‑supported recommendations grounded in Six Sigma principles.
- Present recommendations confidently and guide process owners toward solutions.
- Respect process owner authority while ensuring informed decisions.
- Lead working sessions, workshops, and improvement efforts from initiation through completion.
- Drive adoption of process changes through active change management.
- Proactively follow up with task and action item owners to monitor progress and ensure timely completion, using Jira.
- Maintain visibility into open action items and address delays.
- Keep stakeholders and leadership informed of status as part of regular reporting.
- Escalate stalled or at‑risk items promptly.
- Identify process improvement opportunities through observation, data, and stakeholder engagement.
- Receive and triage incoming process requests via Jira service desk, Microsoft Teams, email, and direct communication.
- Maintain a prioritized work queue and align with senior leadership.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Navigate competing stakeholder interests professionally.
- Ensure SDLC processes (requirements, development, testing, release, support) are healthy and documented.
- Partner with development, QA, product, and release teams to resolve workflow gaps.
- Support consistent application of Agile frameworks across teams.
- Document and maintain standards for sprint ceremonies, backlog management, release planning, and retrospectives.
- Ensure processes support compliance, quality standards, and auditability.
- Maintain and improve operational and business processes beyond the SDLC that support or connect to development workflows.
- Identify interdependencies between SDLC and non‑SDLC processes and ensure alignment.
