Salary: $19.00 to $31.25 per hour.
This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in “fast-tracking” into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.

We are seeking a Store Manager Trainee with a minimum of six (6+) months of Store Management experience. The trainee is accountable for day‑to‑day store operations and promoting a positive, productive environment. The role partners with the Store Manager to lead and develop store employees, recruit and retain top talent, maximize financial goals, and manage customer relations and satisfaction. The trainee analyzes store financial statements to ensure financial goals are met and commits to the company’s asset protection program.
The store sells a wide variety of products, including jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
- Facilitate a customer‑centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly, professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Assist in the training of staff to meet First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent through company‑prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including counting cash drawers, inventory, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer store processes and procedures, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal‑setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned training and self‑development tasks as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Keep up‑to‑date on product knowledge.
- Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting) in accordance with federal, state, and local law.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification if required.
- Ability to assist customers or retrieve products in exterior areas as needed.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work multiple locations as needed.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Work 45+ hours per week; hours not guaranteed.
- Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
