Software Engineer, Senior – Angular Development
Location:
North Palm Beach, Florida (on-site)
Salary: $90,000–$130,000 per year.
DescriptionDSS, Inc. is a leading health information software development and systems integration company that serves clinicians and administrative staff nationwide. As a Senior Full Stack Developer, you will design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications, enhance enterprise product features, and contribute across the full SDLC. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, mentor junior developers, and serve as a technical leader on key projects.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, debug, and test web‑enabled interfaces for DSS products.
- Enhance existing product features, build new modules, and contribute to new product development.
- Participate in project planning, product maintenance, system enhancements, and rapid issue resolution.
- Mentor junior developers by sharing technical expertise and best practices.
- Serve as the primary development point of contact for one or more projects.
- Adhere to established development and documentation standards.
- Provide timely technical guidance and support to cross‑functional teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, version notes, and user guides.
- Communicate effectively across engineering, QA, Dev Ops, and product teams.
- Travel occasionally (up to 25%) based on business and client needs.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Employees will be subject to security and privacy requirements as outlined in HIPAA, FedRAMP, NIST 800‑53, and company‑specific FedRAMP training. High‑risk departments may require advanced training based on role and access level.
QualificationsRequired Skills
- Proficient experience in professional software Angular development.
- Hands‑on experience developing web applications.
- Strong proficiency with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, C#, .NET, Delphi, and SQL Server.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Preferred Skills
- Experience designing or developing EHR or healthcare software.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks under tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to identify and remove barriers to progress.
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.
Certifications
- MCSD or equivalent advanced certifications in Web or Mobile Application Development.
- Other relevant software engineering certifications.
Years of experience
- 6+ years professional software development experience.
- 3+ years hands‑on web application development.
Salary is determined by location, education, skills, experience, and organizational factors. The projected range for this position is $80,000–$130,000 annually.
Physical Demands- Operate computer and office equipment – up to 90% of time.
- Work in a stationary position, sitting – up to 90% of time.
- Move in office (standing, walking) – up to 5% of time.
- Transport up to 20 lbs. of equipment/supplies. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted while traveling. Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. unassisted for up to 10 times per day.
- Communications – oral, written, and visual: up to 90% of time.
- Travel by common carrier up to 25% per year.
