Schedule: 1 day per week (PRN, ongoing)
Coverage Area: Providers must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius
Malpractice Insurance: Included in rate
$1,000 per day for 5+ hour shifts
$500 per day for 0 4 hour shifts
Flat daily rates include exam time, documentation, and required follow-up addendums
This PRN opportunity allows physicians to support U.S. Veterans by performing one-time disability evaluations. The role is strictly non-treatment and non-prescribing, focused on clinical interviews, medical record review, and limited physical assessments to support benefit determinations.
The position offers flexibility, predictable scheduling, and a streamlined clinical workflow with no ongoing patient care responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct one-time disability evaluations and separation health assessments
Perform interview-based exams with limited physical components (e.g., range of motion and strength testing)
Review medical records and diagnostic documentation
Complete evaluation reports, medical opinions, and occasional addendums
Submit documentation within established turnaround times
PRN, ongoing need
Option for half-day or full-day shifts
No treatment, prescribing, or longitudinal care
Local travel only (included in compensation)
Efficient onboarding and credentialing process
Administrative follow-up work is included in the daily rate
Family Medicine

Orthopedic Surgery
Providers with a General Medicine background
Clinicians with prior disability or compensation exam experience
Board Certification required
Active, unrestricted Nebraska medical license required
