Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer / Network EngineerLocation:
Omaha, NE (Onsite - 5 days a week)
As a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer, you will support mission-critical network operations in a fully onsite, incident-management focused environment. You’ll monitor, troubleshoot, and help maintain network connectivity across routers, switches, core protocols, telecom/ISP services, and microwave radio communications. This role is ideal for a network professional who thrives in a fast-paced operations setting and is ready to support essential transportation, utility, telecom, or railroad systems.
This is a fully onsite role with a fixed second or third shift schedule:
- 3:15 PM–11:15 PM, or
- 11:15 PM–7:15 AM
The workweek will be either Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday.
Responsibilities- Monitor and support network operations from a NOC environment, responding to incidents, alerts, outages, and service-impacting events.
- Perform troubleshooting for network connectivity, routing, switching, and core network protocol issues.
- Support configuration, administration, and maintenance activities for routers, switches, and related network infrastructure.
- Coordinate with telecom vendors, utility providers, ISPs, and internal teams to resolve circuit, connectivity, and service issues.
