Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Rendering Supervisor to oversee rendering operations at our beef processing facility. This position is responsible for managing the rendering process--including raw material handling, operation of rendering equipment, and finished product output--while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and USDA regulations. You will play a key leadership role in driving operational efficiency, employee performance, and continuous improvement efforts in the rendering department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily rendering operations to ensure timely and efficient processing of byproducts
  • Supervise and train team members to perform job functions safely and effectively
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental, USDA, and food safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate logs and records for production, maintenance, and compliance reporting
  • Monitor equipment performance and coordinate routine maintenance to minimize downtime
  • Lead daily safety meetings and enforce plant safety protocols
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production departments to resolve operational challenges
  • Implement and uphold best practices for quality, sanitation, and odor control
  • Maintain inventory of rendering supplies and coordinate with procurement as needed
  • Drive process improvements to increase yield, reduce waste, and enhance product quality
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in rendering, meat processing, or related operations
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
  • Strong/ Solid understanding of rendering systems, equipment, and procedures
  • Commitment to a safe, respectful, and team-oriented work culture
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and lead diverse teams
  • Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, and environmental compliance standards
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, and physically demanding environments
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods in a production setting
  • Strong time management and critical thinking skills
  • Effective at prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

    Able to adapt to changing production demands and solve problems quickly
  • Familiarity with rendering byproduct utilization and waste management best practices
