Seed Processing Specialist

LOCATION - NORTH PLATTE, NE

Preferred pay: + /hr weekly attendance bonus

Weekly schedule - 40 hours + OT - 7:30am-4pm

Critical skills:

• Must be detail orientated
• Basic computer knowledge & navigational skills
• Have a basic understanding of written and spoken English preferred
• Communicate effectively with supervisor
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures
• Ability to follow safety procedures

Other preferred skills:

• Display a competency to perform accurate work in a repetitive motion environment
• Experience using Barcode Scanners preferred
• Warehouse, distribution, shipping, or inventory experience helpful

Duties & Responsibilities (may include any or all of the following):

• Receiving and sorting incoming seed
• Sorting seed packets for planting
• Ability to use Research equipment
• General housekeeping

Expectations of employment:

• Able to complete repetitive tasks for long periods of time
• Be self-motivated and possess a positive attitude
• Must be 18 years or older
• Workers are expected to be on time when scheduled
• Hours may vary with work days occasionally lasting more than 8 hours.
• Must have a reliable means to work
• May be asked to work with seed treatments
• May be asked to lift up to 50 Lbs.
• Must be able to stand 8 hours a day
• Ability to work in dusty environment
• Employees will be asked to make/receive personal phone calls during their breaks unless it's an emergency
• Workers are expected to meet minimum performance standards.
• Workers will follow all defined COVID protocols

Corteva shall supply:

• All required personal protective equipment
• COVID supplies-mask

Other information:

• Employees will have one 15 minute break for each 4 hours worked
• Lunches are limited to 30 minutes per full shift.
• This assignment is not a temp-to-hire position.
