Position: This position will support the college’s marketing and communications efforts by creating, designing, printing and distributing a variety of marketing materials, produce and assist with multimedia projects, assist with marketing helpdesk requests,and contribute ideas and concepts for marketing and promotional strategies.
The multimedia specialist will play an important role in creating engaging digital content that increases awareness of the college and its programs, students and activities across social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. The position will help capture and tell the MPCC story through photography, videography, graphic design and other forms of digital content.
The ideal candidate will have a high level of creativity, strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt to a variety of projects and situations. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and provide excellent customer service to students, employees and college departments. Strong communication skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to translate ideas into effective visual and digital content are essential.
About us: Mid-Plains Community College, a legislatively designated 18-county service area in West-Central Nebraska, is a comprehensive, open access, public, two-year community college system that offers associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. MPCC consists of three main campuses, one located in McCook, Nebraska and two located in North Platte, Nebraska. Additionally, there are community campus sites in Broken Bow, Imperial, Ogallala and Valentine with satellite classrooms located throughout the area.

Minimum Qualifications: An associate degree in graphic design or a related field is required. The ideal candidate will have two years of verifiable experience with Adobe Creative Suite, along with a general knowledge of photography, videography and marketing. The candidate should also demonstrate the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. The ability to communicate in multiple languages is helpful.
