12hr Days – 5:45a–6p
Royal Blue Scrubs
32-bed mixed acuity unit caring for ICU, PCU, and Med Surg patients.
Ratios:
• ICU 1:2
• PCU 1:4
• Med Surg 1:5
This is a blended unit — must be comfortable taking PCU (1:4) or Med Surg (1:5) assignments when no ICU patients are present.
Patient Population:Heavy cath lab population
• Coronary & peripheral angiograms/stents
• Sepsis
• Neurosurgery
• CHF, COPD
• Drug & alcohol withdrawal
ICU sees occasional IABP & Impella (higher acuity typically core staff).
