Courier; Medical Specimen

We are looking for a friendly and customer-service-oriented Courier with a clean driving record to enhance our team.

PRN (as-needed)

• Free clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house

• Coordinate timely and efficient transportation of medical specimens and supplies.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and employees.
• Maintain cleanliness and perform maintenance on company vehicles and transport devices.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• Document operations and complete necessary reports.
• Assist with training and communication among couriers and relevant departments.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Strong preference for candidates with previous driving/courier experience.

Valid, unrestricted driver’s license; navigation and punctuality; ability to follow detailed instructions; ability to drive in inclement weather.

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.; occasional lifting of 30–60 lbs.
• Ability to enter and exit assigned vehicle; sit in vehicle/drive for up to four hours nonstop.
• Ability to load and unload assigned vehicle, with frequent bending.
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment as needed.
• Regular handling of potentially infectious samples.
• Ability to drive assigned vehicle in all types of conditions, including built‑up areas, freeway, rural traffic, darkness, and inclement weather.
• Potential exposure to odorous chemicals and specimens.
• Occasional-to-regular kneeling, bending, stooping, and twisting to perform vehicle inspections and minor maintenance, including changing tires.

Position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues. Employees are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis‑B vaccination series.
