City of North Port is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Division, ensuring accurate financial records, GAAP compliance, and timely financial statements. Reports to the Assistant Finance Director and mentors staff.
Responsibilities include month-end close, budget coordination, external auditor liaison, ERP enhancements, and strengthening internal controls. Requires a bachelor's in accounting and 5 years in governmental finance with 2+ years in supervision; CPA/CGFO is preferred.
