Overview

Vitruvian Housing is a vertically integrated real estate developer and general contractor specializing in high-quality workforce housing. We design, develop, and build exclusively for ourselves, never for outside clients. Using Cold-Formed Steel (CFS) technology and a highly refined, repeatable process, we deliver 24-unit, 3-story garden-style apartment buildings from slab to TCO in 150 days or less. We operate with a manufacturing mindset—precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement are the core of our culture.

Each building should be easier, faster, and cleaner than the last. We expect our Site Superintendents to take full ownership of the project’s day-to-day execution, maintaining absolute focus on cleanliness, safety, accountability, and schedule adherence. The Site Superintendent is the on‑site leader responsible for coordinating trades, enforcing safety and quality standards, resolving field issues, and driving the project to completion on time and within budget.

You will be backed by a strong operational team and repeat subcontractor base to ensure consistent results.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily on‑site operations, ensuring all work is performed safely, on time, and to specification.
  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field staff.
  • Maintain a spotless, organized job site that meets company cleanliness standards.
  • Conduct daily progress walks, log updates, and enforce quality control measures.
  • Track schedule progress and proactively identify risks or delays.
  • Enforce job site safety standards in compliance with OSHA and company policy.
  • Resolve field‑level conflicts quickly while keeping projects on track.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the field and corporate office.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, respect, and pride in workmanship.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent or equivalent leadership role in multifamily or commercial construction.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule with exceptional safety and cleanliness.
  • Experience in Cold‑Formed Steel (CFS) or panelized construction preferred, but not a requirement.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and enforce construction documents and specifications.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Spanish proficiency preferred.
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary.
  • Full medical benefits with 100% premium paid by the company.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Career growth within a rapidly scaling company with a 1,500‑unit pipeline and a 20,000‑unit vision.
  • A strong team culture focused on efficiency, safety, and pride in our work.
Daily Tasks
  • Safety & Cleanliness: conduct morning safety walk—check PPE compliance, fall protection, housekeeping; ensure all work areas are free of trip hazards, trash, and excess materials; verify safety signage and barricades are in place; conduct toolbox talk with all trades (5–10 min) focusing on current hazards and schedule priorities.
  • Schedule Execution: review day’s work plan with subcontractor foremen—confirm manpower, materials, equipment; check deliveries are on schedule and materials staged at point of use; monitor crews to ensure work matches production targets; document daily manpower count per trade.
  • Quality & Accountability: perform in‑progress inspections to catch issues early; take photos of work areas for daily log; verify installations against construction documents.
  • Communication: update project management software with daily report (weather, manpower, progress, safety notes); flag any potential delays or material shortages to Project Manager immediately; hold quick end‑of‑day recap with key trades to set next day’s goals.
Weekly Tasks
  • Progress & Planning: walk entire job site with Project Manager for schedule alignment; walk all buildings under construction and capture progress on our OpenAI program; update 3‑week look‑ahead schedule with input from all trades; confirm all inspections for the week are scheduled and ready…
