The Teen Youth Development Professional is responsible for planning, faciliting, and supervising activities and programs within a designated program area. This role emphasizes empowering youth to achieve their greatest potential by ensuring the safety of members, maintaining the quality of activities, and upholding the appearance of the Club at all times.
- Develop and deliver quality activities that encourage active participation from all members, fostering an environment that promotes growth and achievement.
- Provide mentorship and positive role modeling for club members, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Ensure the safety of all youth by maintaining a secure and nurturing environment.
- Maintain accurate list of members, schedules, and attendance to ensure efficient program management.
- Attend club staff meetings to collaborate on club initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall mission and operations of the Boys & Girls Clubs.
- Be able to adapt and maintain composure in a Club environment that has several moving parts.
- Strong ability to mentor and inspire youth.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff.
- Commitment to promoting safety, quality, and a positive environment within the Club.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Pass pre-employment background screening and drug test
- The job requires the ability to stand for extended periods, be outdoors, kneel, reach, bend, and lift objects weighing in excess of 10 lbs.
