This is full performance electrical and mechanical maintenance repair activities on reclaim and wastewater treatment equipment, pumping stations and all related equipment.
What Will You Do?- Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of mechanical equipment related to wastewater treatment facilities, wastewater pump stations and reclaimed water equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, blowers and chemical feed systems.
- Perform electrical troubleshooting and repair.
- Perform minor welding and fabrication of equipment.
- Repair piping and fittings.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on wastewater process equipment, rotating equipment.
- Generate order request for material procurement.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System, as a tool for work management.
- Utilize computer and various software applications to perform job duties and payroll entries.
- Maintain vehicle and inventory in a ready state for response.
- Perform related work as assigned or required.
- Completion of a two-year technical or vocational program in mechanical skilled or electrical trades in Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance; or
- Two (2) years of journeyman experience in the maintenance and repair of heavy mechanical equipment and machinery in Wastewater Treatment Plant Maintenance; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Florida Commercial Driver’s License B within 1 year of hire with eligibility based upon evaluation of a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) driving report.
- Assignment to work a variety of work schedules including compulsory work periods in special, emergency, and/or disaster situations.
- Perform Standby rotation and after-hours call-outs duties required for field operations or emergency events.
- Participate in mandatory Emergency Response Plan Phase - 1 or Phase - 2 as delineated.
