Excel Academy Charter Schools is a network of 5 schools in Massachusetts and Rhode Island that prepares students in grades 5‑12 to succeed in high school and college. The majority of our 1,700 students identify as Latinx or Hispanic and are the first in their families to graduate from college.

Excel teachers deliver effective, high‑quality, rigorous college‑preparatory instruction. As an MLL Specialist you will:

• Collaborate with teachers to help students master content and language objectives.
• Advise and coach teachers on accommodating curriculum for MLL students and best practices for working with multilingual learners.
• Modify curriculum when necessary and provide inclusion support for classes containing MLL students.
• Work specifically with MLL students during assigned periods.
• Create a safe learning environment by implementing Excel’s strategies with consistency.
• Collaborate with department members on curriculum refinement and implementation.
• Design and implement rigorous assessments that evaluate student mastery of academic standards.
• Serve as a productive member of the Excel Academy community and uphold the mission of the school.

• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s degree preferred.
• Rhode Island certified (All Grades English to Speakers of Other Languages Teacher PK‑12) or in process of obtaining certification.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

$50,000–$81,000 commensurate with experience.
