Operatives Full Time regular (64-80 hrs) , 1 , 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Summary:

Performs a variety of duties to maintain smooth operation of Hospital systems. Maintains, repairs, inspects and installs steam plant/refrigeration plant machinery and associated equipment. Apprentice level experience required in at least one of the following categories: carpentry, electrical, plumbing, pipe fitting or HVAC. Employee will work under the direction of the Engineering Site Manager, or his designee. Assignments will be given daily.

Snow removal may be required.

Education:

High School diploma or GED required.

Licensure:
Must obtain a City of Providence Boiler Operator’s License.

Experience:

Three to five years’ experience in boiler operator field and a Minimum of 3 years’ experience at apprentice level in one or more trades.

• Must be able to maintain, repair, inspects and installs steam plant/refrigeration plant machinery and associated equipment, and perform at apprentice level in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, plumbing, pipe fitting, electrical or HVAC.
• Ability to utilize sound interpersonal skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers.
• Maintains information confidential (HIPAA)
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Ability to utilize responsive customer service skills when interacting and taking into consideration cultural background, linguistic skills and age of customers
• Ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines
• Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with peers and other interdisciplinary teams.
