Position Summary

A Dave’s Fresh Marketplace Warehouse Driver is tasked with transporting all Warehouse product, including Commissary items, to all designated locations in a safe and time-efficient manner. Warehouse Drivers are responsible for providing a service to all store locations with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Prior professional driving experience preferred, but not required
  • Must have a good driving record
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license in good standing required
    • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) not required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Practicing safe driving habits – adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • Transporting food products to their appropriate destinations in a timely manner
  • Ensuring the maintenance of proper truck temperature, as to protect the integrity of perishable products in transit
  • Sustains a high level of product knowledge and product storage necessities
  • Strict adherence to all established Dave’s Fresh Marketplace policies and “Standard Operating Procedures”
  • Requires safe operation and usage of equipment – I.E., hand trucks, box cutters, forklifts
  • Once hired, employees must complete forklift certification training to safely operate the forklift
  • Putting away cases of product into coolers/freezers and other product storage areas
  • Maintains cleanliness of trucks; completes full decluttering and sanitizing after use of truck
  • Maintains cleanliness of work areas; completes all cleaning tasks as needed; includes Warehouse loading docks and Store loading docks
  • Completes all Warehouse logs as required
  • Strict adherence to all Food Safety & Sanitation practices
  • Maintains clear communication with Warehouse Manager at all times
  • Strict adherence to the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) plan
  • Follows all safety practices and procedures
  • Performing other duties as assigned/needed

  • Effective communication skills, ensuring teamwork in a safe manner
  • Ability to examine products for freshness
  • Ability to successfully work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to collaborate and work well in a team environment
  • Ability to self-motivate and stay on task without constant supervision
  • Ability to follow instructions; both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn a basic knowledge of all product storage necessities
  • Can calculate basic math functions – I.E., inventory
  • Must be willing to participate in further job training – I.E., forklift certification training
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay organized
  • Ability to provide/receive constructive feedback
  • Reliable and dependable; able to work a flexible schedule – including weekends
  • Ability to solve practical problems
