Full Charge Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Full Charge Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations for a company based in North Reading, Massachusetts. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who can manage the full bookkeeping cycle, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to timely month-end reporting.

The right candidate will bring strong Quick Books experience and a practical understanding of both payables and receivables in a fast-paced business environment.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the complete bookkeeping function, ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and consistently.

- Process vendor invoices, manage payment schedules, and maintain strong relationships with external suppliers.

- Administer customer billing, post incoming payments, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.

- Prepare and review profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other routine financial reports for management.

- Reconcile bank activity and balance sheet accounts to confirm the accuracy of the company's financial records.

- Maintain the general ledger and support a smooth, timely month-end close process.

- Provide documentation and financial schedules to assist with audits and related reviews.

- Use Quick Books to track transactions, organize accounting data, and support daily finance operations. Requirements - Demonstrated experience handling full charge bookkeeping responsibilities in a business environment.

- Proficiency with Quick Books and confidence navigating day-to-day accounting tasks within the system.

- Hands-on knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

- Experience preparing financial statements, including profit and loss reports and balance sheets.

- Ability to complete bank and account reconciliations with a high level of accuracy.

- Familiarity with month-end close activities and supporting audit requests.

- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
