Position: Inventory Analyst, New College Graduate, (Teradyne, North Reading, MA)

Opportunity Overview

This role focuses on inventory modeling, forecasting, and optimization to ensure accurate inventory levels and reduce excess and obsolete inventory.

  • Develop inventory models and reconcile gaps between modeled and actual inventory.
  • Identify and present opportunities to management and develop recommendations.
  • Drive inventory reduction initiatives across functional groups.
  • Create optimization models to set appropriate inventory levels based on business parameters.
  • Manage the Excess & Obsolete quarterly process, reviewing up to $800M in gross inventory.
  • Collaborate with subcontract manufacturers to understand inventory through the supply chain.
  • Integrate marketing and demand management forecasts and present findings to finance.
  • Maintain product component allocations for new and existing parts across platforms.
  • Perform statistical analysis on forecast and shipment history to identify inventory slated for scrapping.
  • Manage customer material returns and ensure disposition plans are executed.
  • Validate consignment and aging material with subcontractors and approve claims.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects and processes.
  • Travel for audits and onsite collaboration in locations such as Malaysia, Philippines, Costa Rica, Japan, and others.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or a related field.
  • Strong statistical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • In‑depth knowledge of MRP and operations planning concepts.
  • Team‑oriented with a results‑driven approach.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office; knowledge of Oracle 11i, Kinaxis Rapid Response, or Maestro is a plus.

Compensation

The base salary range for this role is $57,100-$91,400, which will correspond with experience and skill set and may fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
