Buyer - Buyer II
We are seeking a Buyer who will be responsible for purchasing materials and equipment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring material availability. The successful candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and possess strong computer skills. This role requires working collaboratively within a team to identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Purchase materials and equipment from suppliers, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and PCB assemblies.
- Manage supplier relationships and key performance indicators (KPIs) reported to senior leadership.
- Provide inputs for monthly scorecards and present procurement data during quarterly business reviews.
- Plan material requirements, manage inventory levels, and maintain schedules in the ERP system.
- Identify supply chain risks and provide transparent monitoring of material flow.
- Collaborate with the Planning department to communicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies.
- Develop mechanisms for monitoring and updating open purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
- Assist the Global Commodity Management team with supplier relationship maintenance and performance monitoring.
- Resolve purchase order receiving errors and assist with invoice reconciliation.
- Manage supplier returns, including non-conformance reports and return material authorizations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead cross-functional execution groups.
Required Qualifications
Experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related field is required. Proficiency with computer applications including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint is required. An understanding of data management and databases is beneficial.
The pay range for this position is $23.00 to $33.00 per hour. A comprehensive benefits package is available to eligible employees.
