The J. Turner Hood Elementary School is seeking a Grade 3 Long-Term Substitute Teacher tentatively from November 30, 2026 through the end of the  school year (potentially June 17, 2027 pending snow days). North Reading Public Schools is actively looking to build a diverse workforce to ensure all students feel welcome, safe, and valued for who they are and supported to reach their potential.

• Unit/lesson planning
• Direct instruction of students
• Assessment of student learning
• Be available to conference with parents/guardians and families as needed or requested
• Work closely with our Grade 4 team to ensure pacing and learning expectations are maintained
• Other duties as requested by the Building Principal or their Designee

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education teaching license in Elementary, Grades 1-6
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working demeanor
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• At least 3 years of relevant experience preferred
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
