Our fleet of robots operates across hundreds of facilities worldwide, working in sophisticated coordination to fulfill our mission of customer excellence.

We are pioneering the development of a software framework that:
Enables deployment of robots at Amazon scale;
Enables unprecedented generalization across diverse tasks;
Seamlessly integrates with large models and optimal control techniques;
Integrates with human-safe safety solutions.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Design and implement a low-latency teleoperation system that allows humans to interact with our robotic systems.
  • Design and implement a low-latency video and data streaming pipeline.
  • Use state-of-the-art VR/AR techniques to create immersive experiences.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to rapidly create new concepts and prototypes.
  • Document the designs, performance, and validation of the software architecture.
Qualifications
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 2+ years in CS, ME, EE or related field experience.
  • Experience with video processing frameworks and networking protocols.
  • Experience with robotics architectures like ROS/ROS2, Orocos, etc.
  • Experience with middleware such as DDS, Ether

    CAT, LCM, etc.
  • Experience working effectively across cross-functional teams and partnering well with people at all levels within an organization.
  • Master’s degree in Robotics, with a focus on software frameworks and architectures.
  • Experience with implementing low-latench, high rate, control systems.
  • Experience with real-time OS such as QNX, Vxworking, Linux RT, etc.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
