Opportunity OverviewTeradyne’s Defense and Aerospace Division leads in providing high-performance test solutions for defense and aerospace markets. We are looking for a member of an interdisciplinary systems engineering team to develop new integrated ATE systems.
Responsibilities- Interface with Engineering, Marketing, and Sales teams to generate concepts & proposals for PLC based solutions.
- Estimate effort and cost of prospective solutions to customer opportunities.
- Design and develop programs and procedures for customer demonstrations.
- Interface with SW Engineering, HW Engineering, Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Customer to troubleshoot and resolve complex customer problems.
- Develop, debug, and maintain large-scale PLC implementations for automated test equipment.
- Manage outsourced PLC development teams.
- Travel to customer locations required up to 10% of time.
- Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years’ experience in Electrical/Electromechanical/Computer Engineering.
- Strong automation troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Ability to work on cross‑functional teams.
- Ability to manage both small and large projects.
- Must be proficient with Siemens PLC programming, TIA Portal, Step 7 (Allen Bradley or Beckhoff PLC experience considered).
- Experience managing outsourced PLC development teams preferred.
- Proficient with MS‑Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation for this position.

CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $126,800–$202,900. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan:
This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
