This role is responsible for creating detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and material handling components. The work will be based on current examples and will support future design initiatives. The position requires a self‑starter who can work with minimal direction to create drawing sets that standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations.
Key Responsibilities- Create detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components.
- Develop drawings with a high level of detail in both plan and elevation views.
- Utilize current examples to inform new designs and support future initiatives.
- Work independently to produce drawing sets for standardizing designs.
- Manage CAD layers effectively to maintain drawing integrity and clarity.
- Education:
Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years operating CAD and at least 1 year drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment. - Technical
Skills:
Basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems; ability to work with and manage layers in CAD software.
- Conveyor design and layout experience.
- A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to communicate to various audiences.
- Experience leading small groups.
The pay rate for this position is between $29.00 and $39.00 per hour.
