Opportunity Overview
We are looking for an Engineering Lab Assistant to integrate with our mechanical engineering design teams and machine shop. Responsibilities include working with the engineers to:
- Help coordinate design verification tasks with our engineering teams;
Balance material needs, engineeringresourcesand system availability to ensureprojectsare executed on-time and efficiently. - Facilitate the fabrication of mechanical partsandcommunication between our on-site machine shop,engineering teams, and 3rdparty suppliers to ensurematerialsare ready for design activity.
- Monitor project activities and report status to project managers and senior management
- Identify and mitigate risks and issues throughout design verification activities
- Help manageand track material budgets and lab expenditures

- Associate or bachelor’s degreeor, preferably in an Engineering discipline OR equivalent experience
- Some understanding of the development process of electro-mechanical products
- Strong knowledge in at least one major discipline such as Engineering, Operations, and Marketing
- 2+ years of technical project management or product development experience
- Initiative-taking, accountable individual with strong commitment to meeting personal and team goals as well as professional development.
- Project Management background in multi-functional project environments is a plus
- Versatile interpersonal and communications skills with an ability tomodifystyle to a broad range of audiences and situations.
- Strongexpertisein systematic approach to problem-solving. Candidateidentifiesproblems and takes initiative to resolve them by working with

Leadership team. - Exceptional competency to lead and drive complex decisions.
- Excellent organizational and written / verbal communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project Scheduling tools.
- This position is onsite in North Reading, MA.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $45,900 - $70,300. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive Plan:
This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
