We are looking for current students to join us as a Robotics Hardware Development Intern/co‑op in 2026 with hardware specializations in robotics engineering, mechanical, electrical, hardware test, reliability, failure analysis, manufacturing, operations, and more.
Internship positions are full‑time, Monday‑Friday, up to 40 hours per week, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Interns should not have conflicts such as classes or other employment during the Amazon work‑day. A minimum of one quarter, semester, or trimester remaining in studies after the internship concludes is required. Internship lengths range from 3-6+ months, with year‑round start dates (winter, spring, summer, fall) and multiple locations.
Key Job Responsibilities- Complete project tasks with a team of other interns/co‑ops and Amazon engineers
- Utilize Amazon engineering tools and processes
- Prototype and test concepts or features
- Track progress of task deliverables
- Develop and maintain design documentation
- Present information to managers and engineers
- 18 years of age or older
- Currently working toward a Bachelor's, Master's, or higher in Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechatronics, Materials Science, Physics, or related STEM fields
- Knowledge of hardware engineering fundamentals in mechanical, electrical, hardware test, hardware reliability, quality, failure analysis, manufacturing, or similar areas
- Experience with hardware design, development, and testing
- Experience with applicable hardware physical tools, digital tools, and methods such as 3D CAD
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Previous technical internship(s) or demonstrated project experience
