CAD Technician

Location:

North Reading, Massachusetts (Onsite)

Compensation: $29 - $39 Hourly

Role Overview:
This role is responsible for the creation of detailed drawings for material handling equipment, work areas, and components. The position will use current examples and support design for future initiatives. A successful candidate will be self-directed, capable of working with minimal guidance to produce drawing sets that standardize work spaces and designs across a large network of fulfillment operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create detailed drawings of material handling equipment, work areas, and components.
• Develop plan views and corresponding elevation views with a high level of detail.
• Support design initiatives based on current examples and future requirements.
• Manage layers within CAD software to maintain organized and clear drawings.
• Ensure drawing sets meet the standards for fulfillment operations.

Required Qualifications:

Education:

A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design is required.

Experience:

A minimum of five years of operating experience in CAD is required, along with at least one year of experience drawing in a warehouse or fulfillment center environment.

Technical

Skills:

Candidates must have a basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with conveyor design and layout.
• A degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• The ability to communicate with various audiences.
• Experience leading small groups.
