As a Mechanical Engineer within the Silicon Photonics (SiPh) Engineering team, you will contribute to the development of high-performance optical test systems used in advanced semiconductor manufacturing. This role offers hands-on ownership across the full product lifecycle, working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment. Design and develop precision mechanical components and assemblies using CAD tools, supporting optical and electromechanical systems. Own designs from concept through prototyping, validation, and release to production.
Build, assemble, and debug prototype hardware, supporting system-level testing and troubleshooting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. Create detailed engineering documentation, including drawings with GD&T, BOMs, and change management records. Support new product introduction and early production builds, working with manufacturing and supply chain partners.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience. Proficiency in CAD tools such as Solid Works, including part modeling, assemblies, and drawings.
Experience creating fabrication drawings using GD&T and applying tolerance analysis principles. Hands-on experience with prototyping, assembly, and testing of mechanical systems. Familiarity with PLM systems and change management processes (e.g., ECN/ECO). Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills in cross-functional engineering environments. Experience with optical/mechanical integration, FEA tools, or precision electromechanical systems is a plus. Ability to travel up to ~10% as needed for project or customer support.

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $160,000. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location. Incentive Plan:
