OverviewAmazon Robotics is seeking a talented and motivated Electrical Test Engineer to be part of the Hardware Test Engineering team focused on next‑generation robotic system design. The electrical test engineer will plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components, including fixture design, test automation, and safety certification testing. The role leads and develops test strategies and solutions for new products with a focus on automation, cycle‑time reduction, and improving product quality.
Key Responsibilities- Work with hardware development, regulatory & compliance, program management, and other hardware test team members.
- Plan, design, and execute test strategies for new products.
- Develop test fixtures, automation frameworks, and test reports.
- Partner effectively with cross‑functional teams to solve problems and implement new solutions.
- Meet with cross‑functional teams to understand business needs, review requirements, and develop test plans.
- Collaborate with other Test Engineers, hardware and software developers on tools and techniques.
- Develop test fixtures, execution strategies, and test reports.

The Hardware Test Engineering team is accountable for testing new prototype/pre‑production hardware designs within Amazon's robotic solutions, validating that designs meet high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety. The team is part of the larger Systems Engineering and Evaluation group and works directly alongside test engineers from other disciplines to build end‑to‑end test strategies for robotic products. The team is located in BOS

27 with occasional travel between office locations.
- Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures.
- Experience with component selection and understanding of component reliability.
- At least 6 years of technical engineering experience.
- Experience building test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems or systems of systems.
- Experience with common electronics test equipment (oscilloscopes, power supplies, function generators, etc.).
- Experience leading large, cross‑functional projects.
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production.
- Experience identifying and solving complex problems through data analysis.
- Experience gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and defining quality metrics.
- Experience working with Linux.
- Basic scripting experience in a high‑level programming language such as Python, Matlab, or LabVIEW.
- Experience with electric motors and motor test methodology.
- Experience in circuit‑level debug to the component level.
