Opportunity Overview
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will contribute to the design and development of next-generation System Level Test (SLT) platforms and enabling technologies. This role focuses on delivering technically sound, innovative solutions to medium-complexity engineering problems while balancing customer requirements, technical risk, and manufacturing scalability. You will work closely with external customer-facing teams and internal cross-functional development partners to translate system architecture concepts into high-volume, manufacturable products.
Design and develop automated industrial equipment and electro-mechanical systems for advanced SLT applications
Synthesize requirements from multiple stakeholders into clear engineering tradeoffs, concepts, and system architectures
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Applications, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and global engineering teams
Contribute to the development of mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies including structures, cables, PCBAs, and precision mechanisms
Drive solutions that support robotic test head manipulation, docking/clamping systems, and standardized test interfaces
Engage with suppliers and global manufacturing partners to deliver cost-effective, scalable designs
Apply sound engineering rigor to ensure safe, reliable, and failsafe system operation
Influence long-term roadmaps by contributing technical expertise, innovative ideas, IP, and best practices

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with 10+ years in machine design;
System Level test or manufacturing equipment experience preferred
Strong ability to independently design, analyze, and test medium-complexity electro-mechanical systems and assemblies
Deep expertise in mechanical design fundamentals including FEA, tolerancing, precision alignment, actuators, bearings, sensors, materials, and drawings
High proficiency in Solid Works; experience with PDM, ERP/MRP, and enterprise engineering systems
Proven capability to rapidly conceptualize ideas and communicate design intent to customers, cross-functional teams, and suppliers
Self-motivated, detail-oriented engineer with a disciplined approach and strong collaboration and communication skills
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $121,. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location. Incentive Plan:
