Contract: 5 month W2 contract
Role OverviewThe Electro-Mechanical Strategic Sourcing team operates within a complex Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) environment where proper assignment of change orders is the critical first step in the Engineering Change Order (ECO) workflow. This position focuses on PLM system operations, managing the assignment process, improving the routing algorithm, and supporting ECO processing performance. The role will also support the transition from Agile PLM to Team Center.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the GCM Assignment Group function within PLM, ensuring appropriate Strategic Sourcing Managers are added to ECOs as approvers.
- Review affected items on each ECO and route them to the correct managers to enable early visibility into supply chain impacts.
- Analyze the current assignment algorithm's performance and develop improvements.
- Create structured data sets to document assignment decisions and resolution patterns for a future AI-based auto-assignment tool.
- Monitor and report on the Strategic Sourcing team's performance for ECO processing time, data accuracy, and SLA compliance.
- Support proper integration with the Product Development Process (PDP).
- Assist in creating training tools for the Supply Chain Organization and support testing for the Agile to Team Center transition.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field is required.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in supply chain operations, PLM administration, or a systems-focused role within a manufacturing or engineering environment is required.
Skills- Hands‑on experience with PLM systems such as Agile, Teamcenter, or Windchill, including workflow and user administration.
- Understanding of engineering change management processes (ECO, DECO, MCO).
- Experience with data analysis, process improvement, and defining operational KPIs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle or SAP.
- Experience developing training materials, SOPs, or process documentation.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to identify patterns and translate them into systematic rules.
- Experience specifically with Agile PLM, including workflow configuration and routing.
- Experience in PLM to PLM migration projects, particularly Agile to Teamcenter transitions.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application to process automation.
- Knowledge of BOM structures and part lifecycle stages.
- Experience with ERP integration and data flows between PLM and ERP systems.
- Experience with process mining or workflow analytics tools.
