Contract Manager
The client's Industrial Robotics Group (IRG) Supply Chain team is hiring a Contract Manager to support its rapidly growing robotics and automation business. Your responsibilities will include leading contract negotiations with suppliers and vendors, drafting and managing contracts for robotics components, equipment, and services, overseeing a contracts database, and acting as a point of contact to cross-functional teams—including engineering, operations, finance, and outside counsel—to support the successful development, deployment, and scaling of industrial robotics solutions.
This role may also involve procurement strategy support and supplier relationship management.
The position requires negotiating and documenting various third-party contractual relationships, including non-disclosure agreements, equipment purchase agreements, manufacturing and services agreements, supply agreements, licensing agreements, amendments, work orders, and statements of work related to robotics hardware, software, and integration services. The role also involves developing mechanisms to track contract milestones, supplier obligations, and deliverables, and helping internal stakeholders address supply chain and commercial issues at scale while coordinating with clients, suppliers, and outside counsel.
You must have excellent written and oral communication skills, as this position involves direct contact with key business owners, engineering teams, supply chain stakeholders, and external partners. Flexibility, sharp organizational and process-oriented skills, and a self-starting work ethic are desired. Familiarity with manufacturing, hardware procurement, or industrial/robotics supply chains is a strong plus.
The successful candidate will possess the ability to work efficiently and independently; manage high volumes of contracts, purchase orders, and projects with little guidance; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require a quick response or turnaround; take effective action without having to know the total picture; and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems that affect people within the group or other related groups.
The candidate will also be client-service oriented, have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have strong organizational skills, and have the ability to easily switch gears in a fast-paced robotics development environment. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information—including supplier pricing, technical specifications, and strategic sourcing plans—as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company, is essential.
