Compensation: $22 - $27 hourly

Role Overview

We are seeking a candidate for a Buyer position. This role is responsible for purchasing materials and equipment, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring material flow is monitored and communicated effectively. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal teams to manage schedules, mitigate supply chain risks, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing materials and equipment from suppliers, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and PCB assemblies.
• Managing supplier relationships and key performance indicators reported to senior Supply Chain leadership.
• Providing inputs to monthly scorecards and presenting procurement data during quarterly business reviews.
• Planning material requirements and managing inventory levels and schedules in an ERP system.
• Identifying supply chain material risks and providing transparent monitoring of material flow.
• Developing mechanisms for monitoring and updating open purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
• Assisting the Global Commodity Management team with maintaining supplier relationships and monitoring performance.
• Resolving purchase order receiving errors and assisting with invoice reconciliation.
• Managing supplier returns, including non-conformance reports and return material authorizations.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and leading cross-functional groups to execute them.

Skills:

Proficiency with computer applications including Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• An understanding of data management and databases is preferred.
