Buyer - Buyer II

We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Buyer. This role involves purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring material availability to support our operational needs. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with various teams to identify supply chain risks, monitor material flow, and drive process improvements within a demanding and collegial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchasing materials and equipment from suppliers, including electro-mechanical assemblies, electronic components, and PCB assemblies.
• Managing supplier relationships and key performance indicators reported to senior Supply Chain leadership.
• Providing inputs for monthly scorecards and presenting procurement data during quarterly business reviews.
• Planning material requirements, managing inventory levels, and managing schedules in the ERP system.
• Identifying supply chain material risks and providing transparent monitoring of material flow.
• Working with the Planning department to communicate supply chain risks and mitigation strategies.
• Developing mechanisms for monitoring and updating open purchase orders, expedites, and delivery requirements.
• Assisting the Global Commodity Management team with supplier relationship management and performance monitoring.
• Resolving purchase order receiving errors and assisting with invoice reconciliation.
• Managing supplier returns, including non-conformance reports and return material authorizations.
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and leading cross-functional execution.

Required Qualifications

Strong computer skills are required, including proficiency with Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint. An understanding of data management and databases is also beneficial.
