Our client, a leading organization in the robotics product development sector, is seeking a Materials Program Managerto join their team. As a Materials Program Manager, you will be part of the Supply Chain and Engineering Support teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location:North Reading, MA
Pay Range:$110 / hr on Experis W2
What's the Job?- Drive end-to-end material readiness across all phases of the product lifecycle, from New Product Introduction (NPI) through beta builds and into General Availability
- Manage and execute the Material Readiness Report, providing visibility into material risks, lead times, supply health, and build readiness status.
- Lead material program governance, including ECO-to-PO change management, ensuring seamless translation of engineering changes into supply chain execution without disrupting production schedules.
- Develop and maintain material program mechanisms such as dashboards, trackers, and escalation frameworks to enable proactive risk mitigation.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and quality teams to manage BOM maturity, resolve supply constraints, and drive root-cause corrective actions for shortages or receipt holds.
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in material program management, supply chain, or NPI/operations within a hardware product development environment.
- Proficiency with BOM management across development phases, including BOM maturity tracking and build readiness assessments.
- Experience navigating ERP/MRP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or equivalent for procurement and supply planning.
- Strong cross-functional project management skills, with the ability to influence without authority across engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality teams.
- Excellent analytical skills to build and maintain dashboards, identify supply risks proactively, and communicate trade-offs effectively using data-driven insights.
