Must Have:
Client is seeking a qualified product compliance contractor to perform design review, testing, and certification activities for the Metis Standalone program. The Metis Standalone is a fixed-installation scanning system deployed in Amazon Fulfillment Centers (FCs) across the United States, Canada, European Union, and United Kingdom.
The contractor shall be responsible for all activities necessary to demonstrate compliance to applicable Product Safety and EMI/EMC standards for the US, Canadian, EU, and UK markets. This includes conducting design reviews, performing all required testing, obtaining necessary certifications, and compiling a complete Technical Construction File (TCF) that demonstrates conformity and supports market access.
Two (2) test samples will be provided to the contractor during the first week of September 2026. The contractor all complete all testing, certification, and documentation activities by December 31, 2026.
The contractor is responsible for gathering, generating, and delivering all documentation and evidence required to populate the Technical Construction File.
The contractor shall support the Product Compliance requirements. The following activities include but not limited to:
- Review of electrical schematics and circuit diagrams against the selected safety standard
- Review of component selection (critical safety components: fuses, transformers, capacitors, connectors, power inlet). Gather appropriate information/datasheets to generate a CDF or CCL.
- Review user's documentation as required per the standard.
- Provide third party partner (TUV-R) with a package of artifacts to support product safety NRTL and CE/UKCA certification.
- Collaborate with the design team to stage, verify and operate the equipment under test (EUT) for safety evaluation.
- Review and ensure all required nameplate information is provided.
- Provide feedback on any non-compliant issues and collaborate with the team to a resolution.
- Collaborate and support TUV-R and AR's internal lab throughout the regulatory certification process.
- Any activities that are required of for the purpose of receiving the NRTL and CE/UKCA certification.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $55/hour to $59/hour. Benefits will also be available and details are available at the following link.
