Swing Delivery Driver

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring a full-time Swing Delivery Driver to work out of our warehouses in North Reading, MA. This position assists with fulfilling & processing orders, shipping/receiving, inventory, providing support as an alternate delivery driver, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties:

• Managing paperwork from customers and vendors
• Daily deliveries to job sites and supply houses.
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Pulling orders and prepping for shipment
• Receive inventory and store products in designated areas
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Maintain a healthy and safe working environment
• Operating our delivery trucks safely
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a similar work environment preferred
• Current DOT Medical Card or a CDL are preferred
• Experience driving a 22' stake body truck in Boston and surrounding areas
• Clean, driving record
• Have basic math skills
• Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and standard forklifts, when needed.
• Willingness to learn the warehouse products
• Self-motivated
• Punctual and courteous
• Team player mentality a must; communication, collaboration, and motivation to follow through critical.
• Be able to work quickly and efficiently without constant supervision.

Requirements:

• Maintain a valid DOT Medical Card.
• Must be able to join Local 25 Union.

Days/Shift:

• Monday thru Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm
