Job Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily warehousing activities. This position will also implement production, productivity, quality and customer service standards and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time limits. Ensures that daily operations meet and exceed performance expectations and increase the company’s overall market share.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals
  • Communicate and collaborate cross‑functionally to assist the team in solving operational issues
  • Provide timely service to the office while minimizing warehouse and production costs
  • Support daily distribution and processing of reports and other correspondence as directed by Manager
  • Maintain and update equipment and product tracking logs
  • Manage all electronic receipts of equipment/product when it arrives
  • Manage warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving and inventory control
  • Enter all receiving purchase order information and virtual shipments
  • Maintain accurate inventory and documentation for all assigned inventory
  • Ensure inventory for order prep, pre‑fabrication and staging on project pallets are pulled
  • Coordinate and manage the maintenance of equipment
  • Answer all incoming calls and e‑mail queries; assist customers, clients and related vendors as needed
  • Other duties assigned as needed
Skills And Abilities
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend and apply principles of basic math while analyzing data and generating reports
  • Clear and professional communication skills (written and oral) both internally and externally
  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft applications such as MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team environment
  • Effective communication and interaction with employees, clients and colleagues, and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills
Education And/Or Experience
  • Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
  • Prior education in logistics, supply chain management or business administration preferred
  • Minimum 2–4 years of warehouse or inventory experience
  • Experience with UPS, Fed Ex shipping, tracking and receiving; international shipping experience preferred
  • Proven work experience as a warehouse supervisor
  • Must be able to pass and complete internal forklift certification
  • Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets AVI‑SPL driving privileges standards

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

Physical Requirements
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, crawling, reaching and the ability to lift up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs
  • Requires the ability to squat occasionally
  • Requires the ability to use ladders up to 20 feet frequently
  • Requires the ability to operate warehouse machinery

Special note:
This position will require constant use of OSHA‑approved footwear, following current company policy for subsidy toward initial cost. Please check with corporate safety for details.

Direct Reports
  • This position will assist in overseeing 1–2 employees
Work Hours

Compensation

Hourly: $36.00 – $46.06 per hour
