Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting activities for our manufacturing client in Richland Hills, Texas. This position will take ownership of the close cycle, financial reporting, and cost-focused analysis while ensuring accurate records across the general ledger and inventory-related accounts. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in manufacturing and cost accounting, hands-on Net Suite experience, and the ability to strengthen processes that support timely, reliable financial information.

Responsibilities:

- Direct daily accounting operations across the general ledger, maintaining accurate records and adherence to established accounting practices.

- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, including reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements for completeness and accuracy.

- Evaluate manufacturing cost performance by tracking labor, overhead, material usage, and variance trends to support informed business decisions.

- Administer bill of materials data in Net Suite to help ensure dependable product costing and proper inventory valuation.

- Review production, inventory, and job cost activity in partnership with operational teams to confirm appropriate accounting treatment.

- Prepare recurring financial reports and deliver clear analysis to leadership on results, trends, and key performance drivers.

- Maintain accounting for fixed assets, accruals, prepaid balances, and other balance sheet accounts through timely reconciliation and follow-up.

- Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, audit support, tax preparation, and process improvement initiatives within the accounting function.

- Collaborate with purchasing, production, and operations partners to improve reporting accuracy, internal controls, and overall financial visibility.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

- At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful exposure to a manufacturing environment.

- Prior success in a leadership-level accounting role such as Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant.

- Strong working knowledge of general ledger management, close processes, cost accounting, inventory accounting, job costing, and variance analysis.

- Required experience using Net Suite in a hands-on accounting capacity.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to work with pivot tables, lookup functions, and financial analysis tools.

- Demonstrated analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines independently.

- Preferred experience in equipment manufacturing, industrial products, or distribution, along with a track record of improving accounting processes and controls.
