Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Test Engineer, Safety Engineer, Quality Engineering
The Test Equity Environmental Chamber Engineer designs, operates, maintains, and tests specialized equipment that simulates extreme environmental conditions like temperature, humidity.
Essential Duties, Functions and/or Responsibilities- System Design: Develop, modify, and optimize refrigeration, heating, electrical, and control systems for TEQ environmental test chambers.
- Maintenance & Calibration: Support our OEM manufacturers by performing routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical/electrical failures, and calibrate sensors to ensure testing accuracy.
- Test Execution: Program and run profiles on (e.g., thermal cycling, steady-state humidity) according to international standards.
- Data Analysis: Monitor chamber performance, compile test data, and draft technical evaluation reports for our OEM manufacturers.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all equipment complies with occupational safety standards, pressure vessel regulations, and environmental laws regarding refrigerants.
- Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Technical
Skills:- Proficiency with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and HMI software.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics and refrigeration systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), and blueprints.
- Familiarity with data acquisition (DAQ) hardware and software.
- Experience: 2-5 years of hands‑on experience working with industrial ovens, environmental chambers, or complex HVAC/R systems.
- Ability to safely and successfully perform essential job functions in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.
